Moving House!
Please bear with me while I relocate my Open Office tips to WordPress.
For an full index of articles in the old blog, see http://www.richhillsoftware.com
Right now, I’m cutting pasting articles from old blog to new. Then I will do cleanup. At the same time I’ll start writing new tips for Open Office Calc.

Hi! This is a great site. I browsed through all the pages and you have made a significant contribution to the OOo community. Great work. I found you because I have a question. I am creating a comparative list of software programs and I am using OpenOffice.Org to create this list. I was wondering if there are simple ways to:
1. Make it so that the index of features column always stays visible no matter how far to the right you scroll. e.g. On the left hand-side of my spreadsheet are the features list, then to the right at the top of the column is the name of the software followed down the column with notes on whether the feature is included or not, in the next column to the right, the same information. But if I add say twenty programs, it will be hard for me to remember what the column is about, so I’d like the index column to always appear on the page I am viewing.
Well, I thought I had another question, but maybe that will do it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

David,
Thanks for the kind words.
I believe you are loking to ‘freeze’ the leftmost column
Here is the relevant info…
